Merci beaucoup ☺️
A petit neighbourhood restaurant serving authentic Japanese food cooked with breadcrumbs (= 'panko' in Japanese) Walked by this simple minimalist restaurant and I was surprised to find rather rare Japanese dishes such as Okonomiyaki (Japanese pancake) or Takoyaki (fried octopus dough balls). They have this bento set for €15, and it comes with a starter, main and a drink including a small salad, rice and pickles. The owner was really friendly and the restaurant itself is newly opened recently. I had karaage (friend chicken) as a starter, katsu (Japanese schnitzel) as main and Ramune (Japanese sprite in a special glass bottle). The quality was pretty good for Japanese food in Europe and the portion was quite generous (rice was a bit small though). However for chicken katsu curry, curry was rather treated more as a sauce so if you want to eat lots of curry, you might be disappointed (smaller in portion and a bit spicier, less sweet and less depth in taste). Also, probably better to have a bit more variety on the main dishes as not many people would want to eat katsu so often (their starter selection is great though!) Overall, it is a great addition to this neighbourhood full of not very authentic Japanese restaurants primarily selling sushi and grilled skewers. It is a new restaurant opened just a few months before I visited, so I hope they keep this quality and hospitality to gain more customers!
I have to admit I did not like my food here. The taste of the curry sauce was boring and the meat just average.Though service was great and it is a nice team.Sorry guys, only 2 stars.
