I had chile verde and it was very sour.I felt bad cause I only had 2 bites and brought it home to toss out.My friend had a burrito that was just ok.Friendly staff, not your regular Mexican food.
I ordered a California burrito with chorizo instead of steak. They were happy to accommodate and also made sure I knew the chorizo would be a different texture than most of the other meats.I order chorizo all the time but since they have the translation (pork sausage) on the menu, I thought this was really nice as it could be helpful for folks who haven’t had chorizo. All of the staff were super friendly. The burrito was one of the best I’ve ever had.I also loved the Jamaica, which wasn’t over sweetened like many other places.Overall fabulous experience!
Ochoa's is a must on our Taco Tuesday routine and even on other nights when we feel like really good food at a decent price. I get Carne Asada and Al Pastor tacos, and sometimes I'll get an Asada burrito. Both meats are well seasoned and simmered to a perfect tenderness. The tacos are a really big and full of meat and cilantro.Extremely flavorful, they come with really good grilled onions and jalapeños, a perfect addition that a lot of other restaurants overlook. Ochoa's is a great little place, even better because its walking distance and we'll continue to go back and support good food and a small business.
