North Hollywood Diner

American restaurant, Breakfast restaurant, Diner, Restaurant

The North Hollywood Diner offers a delightful taste of nostalgia with its charming 50s vibe and cozy atmosphere. Open 24 hours, this American diner is perfect for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, boasting a diverse menu filled with comfort food favorites. While the fast service and strong coffee are crowd-pleasers, some dishes may not impress, like the undercooked bacon or small biscuits. However, the large free parking lot and warm, welcoming staff, like the attentive server Lola, make it a solid choice for groups and solo diners alike.

A traditional and great throwback 50s style diner in North Hollywood.
It is 24 hours and they serve breakfast through dinner so they really have a ton of great options on the menu.
Our server Lola was absolutely great and very attentive.
She was funny, polite, and did a great job.
The issue we had for our brunch today was it took 35 minutes for our two entrées to arrive after ordering, which is slow for a diner.
However the service speed and just comparing it flavor wise to other diners makes me hold back one star.
I do love how there is a large free parking lot attached so parking is really easy and plentiful. There were a lot of items that I wanted to order on the menu, but today I chose to try their Chicken Fried Steak.
I also ordered a side biscuit.
The biscuit was not my favorite, it was pretty small next to others I have had recently.
The chicken fried steak was very good, but I have had better versions at some other local diners.
The gravy was a bit watery and the other dish we ordered came with bacon, which was very undercooked but aside from that everything else really hit the spot.
Wish they did hashbrowns instead of country potatoes though.
Their coffee is also really good and was surprisingly strong. Overall a solid diner option in North Hollywood.
I’m holding back a star because of the service speed and just comparing it to other diners in LA, but still would recommend it to anyone.

Classic Hollywood joint.
Perfect combo of dirty and clean.
Great breakfast with jazz music in the background.
You know you are in the right spot when a guy walks in and asks for the back room.
Classic diner feel at the bar.
Pictures of Hollywood legends on the wall.
I’m in.
I’ll be back.

The diner has been around for quite a while so we hoped it was good.
It wasn't, my partners waffle wasn't light and fluffy but rather thin and hard, not your ordinary waffle.
The beef in my beef dip was cold, not even warm a little.
The ambiance was cool I guess for a diner of it's age.
Our waitress seemed to forget about us a few times so ordering took a while.
We will not return, I hope others have better experiences than us.
