Norbu is a Bhutanese restaurant that truly impressed me on multiple levels. When we walked in, we were greeted by a warm and inviting atmosphere. It is a perfect spot for a family outing or a casual meal with friends. We were there for my daughter’s birthday. The food at Norbu is nothing short of authentic.Every dish we tried was bursting with flavor and clearly made with care and attention to traditional Bhutanese food. The menu is thoughtfully designed, with clear indicators for vegan, gluten-free, and vegetarian options, which made it easy for everyone in my family to find something delicious to enjoy. What stood out the most was the staff's exceptional service. They were not only friendly and accommodating but also incredibly knowledgeable about the dishes. They took the time to describe each one and even offered suggestions on the best way to enjoy them.Additionally, they catered to various dietary preferences by adjusting the spiciness of the food to our taste. Norbu also excels in creating an inclusive environment. The restaurant is accommodating to children, providing a welcoming atmosphere for families. They also ensure accessibility for people with physical disabilities, which is a significant plus. Overall, Norbu offers a fantastic dining experience with its authentic Bhutanese cuisine, friendly and helpful staff, and inclusive ambiance.I highly recommend it to anyone looking to explore the rich flavors of Bhutan in a comfortable and accommodating setting right in the heart of Lancaster. ---
The staff were very kind and welcoming. Our waiter gave us great menu suggestions. The food was also delicious - the portions were a generous size and reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning! I liked the decor and atmosphere (besides the bright ceiling lights). The outdoor area looked nice too.
I highly recommend; from the moment we stepped in, the waitress was excited for our arrival! She was able to quickly and throughly go through the menu, as it was my first time there. Her recommendations were delicious and we chose to eat the variety choice of dumplings. There was a pleasing contrast in texture that satisfied my mouth. The fried chicken Bao Buns were another flavorful choice! The chicken was fried to perfection, and also had a satisfying crunchy texture. Lastly we had the their special that had option of chicken and pork! We were able to taste the combinations of flavors with ginger, tumeric and all the things good! I am definitely going to recommend for my vegan and vegetarian friends, but also the meat lovers as well! I am trying the curry next time!
