Mimi's Tea Cottage

Passing through the area, I stumbled upon this wonderful spot.
So happy I did! Ambience: charming, delightfully "shabby-chic", many nice touches Service: polite, attentive Food quality/presentation/ portion: Delicious! The chicken salad was especially good.
I enjoyed being able to choose the starter and scone flavor.
Portion size was plenty.
(See photo of menu) Nicely presented on a 3-tiered server. Price: $32.99 for one (the Beaumont) Something I would change: If I was going to serve just one person, I would use a smaller tiered server.
And would probably have waitstaff in black pants/slacks instead of jeans and some type of loafer instead of tennis shoes. What they did right: Almost everything! Decor was very cute.
Everything was clean.
The waitstaff was very polite and accomodating all around.
Provided multiple spots for photo opportunities.
Had a nice visit with the owner during my time there.
The scone was served warmed and definintely tasted fresh.
(Honestly, the scone is reason to return all by itself.)

Mimi’s was a dream! I’ve been in the Exton area for only about a year and was looking at nearby places to have my bridal shower and stumbled upon Mimi’s on a walk in West Chester! The decor was beautiful and I loved that the tea cups had the napkins folded like roses - I’ve never seen that before! The food exceeded any and all expectations! The potato leek soup was amazing, and everyone was immediately raving about it! I’m not a big quiche person… but I ate my whole dang quiche! Its was so fluffy, with perfectly melty pieces of guyere! The tea sandwiches were the perfect size, they accommodated to have my food gluten free for me, but when I tell you I tried that gluten free blueberry scone my jaw dropped! I had everyone at my table try it because I couldn’t believe it was gluten free!! The BEST scones of my life! My 8 year old niece is a picky eater and couldn’t stop telling everyone how delicious everything was! They also brought her out the cutest tea pot filled with hot cocoa, with a side of marshmallows - they truly made it such a memorable experience for everyone there! We all left full and couldn’t stop raving about the food! We ended up going a little past our designated time (we had family and friends traveling from out of state so it meant a lot that they let us take our time getting things sorted and leaving)! Karen & Ginny were so accommodating from start to finish, they were very communicative and so helpful day of! Having my bridal shower at Mimi’s made it so special - I couldn’t have asked for a better day and I’m beyond thankful!

Mimi’s is charming and delightful! We enjoyed our tea luncheon and look forward to visiting again! The quiche and sandwiches were very flavorful and the scones were scrumptious! The various sweets for dessert were delicious.
All of our food tasted freshly prepared.
The selection of teas was amazing, offering every variety you could want.
The location of Mimi’s is convenient to the parking garage so we had no trouble finding parking in WC! Mimi’s Tea Cottage is a lovely addition to a great town!
