MeXo Tequila & Mezcal Bar and Restaurant

Food was great.
Was able to get seated without reservation but definitely recommend getting reservation beforehand as it is a small place.
Our service was a little slow.
We were seated at our table for over an hour before we got our food.
Cocktails from the bar took awhile to be made as well.
There was a large party in back that would walk to bar to get drinks which slowed down our service.
It took about 20 minutes to get our cocktail and a cola.
The only dish I wouldn’t recommend was the seafood soup as it was very salty (and this is coming from someone who loves salt).
The fish tacos were very good

This was a nice dinner - really enjoyed the variety of Mezcal and the food was very good.
The ceviche appetizer was beautifully plated and delicious.
The "deconstructed" tacos left me a little dissappointed - they weren't bad, but it was just a grilled chicken breast, taco toppings, and 4 tortillas on the side for $24.
It was underwhelming for the price whereas the other food and drinks were up to par.
I would still recommend this place - just get something other than the tacos.

Interesting assortment of food options, but we weren’t blown away by anything in particular.
Nice cocktail menu- I had a Tecate, and he had each variation of the margarita 🤣, of which one is shown in a rocks glass in the photo.
We shared the Vegan Cuitlacoche Sopes as an appetizer.
They were tasty, but very small for the price, in my opinion.
I had the Aquachile Shrimp Ceviche (I forgot to snap a pic).
Initially they brought me the Pulpo ceviche by mistake, and our server didn’t return for an exceptionally long time, despite the place being empty, so we flagged down a busser who tried to tried me that what I received was what I had ordered… I don’t like pulpo, so I waited until the server came back to re order.
They eventually brought me the correct dish.
It was not my favorite, but I’m a fan of traditional ceviche. My boyfriend got the Enchiladas Rojas which he liked and thought were delicious. We ordered the churros (shown in pictures) for dessert.
They were decent. Honestly the service was so poor (our server rarely returned to check on us despite the place being empty- see video) and I received the wrong entree, so my review score is lower than I would normally leave.
MeXo advertises itself as being more upscale Mexican fusion, but because of the service received, it felt like a regular Tex-Mex place with worse customer interaction.
I’d probably come visit again, but not in the near future.
