There is Mexican and there’s MESTIZOS!!! Truly, Mestizos can not be compared to any other! The vibe alone sets it above all other Mexican restaurants.
Tasteful pieces of art with color splashed inviting you to relax and enjoy! Start with a happy hour carafe and you will forget what is happening outside the doors! Food options never disappoint! I had Scallops with Mole Verde Sauce.
It truly is a culinary work of the chef.
The scallops and shrimp were fresh and tasty, coupled with the Mole Verde that compliments and heightens the flavors in each bite! DELICIOUS is an understatement! My husband was just as pleased with his choice, The Fajita bowl with the protein Trio! We love this place! We brought friends for their first time experience! They said “Let’s do this again, SOON” Nathan, our server, was attentive, keeping glasses full and table tidy with a smile!!

I had the pleasure of eating at this awesome restaurant during my visit to Baton Rouge.
I love the fact that the menu is very accommodating for various dietary needs such as Keto, Gluten free, Vegetarian, Vegan, etc.
The food is seasoned to perfection and very delicious! The ambience of the restaurant is extremely warm and inviting.
The staff is very attentive, friendly, and eager to please.
I enjoyed my experience so much that I visited twice during my two day visit in Baton Rouge.
I only wish they had this restaurant in my hometown Atlanta.
I highly recommend this restaurant and will surely visit again when I return to Baton Rouge.

Mestizos is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants in Baton Rouge.
We went for their buffet special and it was such an incredible experience! My absolute favorites were the mashed cauliflower, fried redfish with peanut mole sauce, and grilled flank steak.
And for dessert, the tres leches.
I will definitely be on the lookout for their next event!
