What a wonderful surprise visiting Michigan to find this gem! Staff, food and drinks were on point.
We ordered some classic tiki drinks and some different ones offered.
The sticky shrimp was one of the best things ever.
That spice and flavor makes you want to lick the bowl! The drunken noodles was quite satisfying.
The tiki vibes was well thought out and put together well.
Would love to come visit again and again and again! The lounge next door is apparently a must visit and we will try for it next time.
It's all street parking or utilizing parking garage.

Max's South Seas Hideaway is a full octane, tropical bar experience in the heart of downtown Grand Rapids.
Fully decorated from ceiling to floor, the restaurant transports you to a mythical world of a beach-side, Polynesian, speakeasy. The drinks were incredible along with the food.
We ordered the Rum Barrel, Hana's Revenge, the Classic Daiquiri, and the Pearl Diver.
Each drink was artfully crafted, beautifully presented, and delicious.
The shrimp we ordered as a side was perfectly cooked and had just the right amount of spice. We travel all around the nation visiting Tiki bars and Max's is truly one of the best.
Definitely give them 5 flamingos out of five! 🦩🦩🦩🦩🦩

We went for dinner and cocktails and had a great time.
The food was very delicious.
I got the chicken and waffles and the gochujang chicken was sooo good.
My only complaint was I wish I could've eaten more as the portions were huge.
We tried a few different cocktails and enjoyed them all.
If you like the idea of a tiki bar meets speakeasy, then you should go here!
