Long John Silver's currently has $6 shrimp baskets so thought I would try the grilled one which comes with 6 shrimp on rice and one side.The shrimp was lightly seasoned, the rice was good but very little and the coleslaw was delicious.For the price I thought it was a deal though a bit more rice would have been better.
The fish here was really fresh! I loved the amazing crunch on the exterior and how tender it was on the inside.So yum! Though the fries fell a bit flat, the hush puppies too were nicely fried and were just oh-so-crispy.The meal portion size was generous and lasted me a meal and a half- a great deal. As the drive-thru seems a bit slow, I would recommend walking in to order.Service is friendly and pretty quick inside- just a few minutes of wait.The interior has plenty of seating too should you wish to dine-in, and the area was clean.
When my husband brought the food home it was so salty I threw up the one piece of shrimp I ate.I called and spoke with the alleged shift leader who had a serious attitude problem.I told him I was happy to bring the order back tomorrow for a refund and he told me that Shay would simply throw it in the garbage so I could just throw it out myself.He did take the complaint and told me my husband could come by in the morning and speak with Shay about it BUT, after he got all my contact info, I asked him his first name.He refused to give it to me so I don't even know if he was a shift leader or not.This was the worse 18.00 I've spent lately.My husband does have the receipt and will bring it to Shay in the morning.I will update after that time. UPDATE!!! True to her word, the day shift Leader did refund the order.That's good anyway.I still have no interest in going back though because of the food AND the horrible treatment I had initially received. do appreciate the refund and the fair way I was treated by the day shift Leader.Not her fault that guy was so rude and disrespectful.BTW, she did tell us we could discard the food, but she wasn't so tacky about it, know what I mean? :)
