Mexican restaurant, Bar, Restaurant, Taco restaurant
Went here for some late night food for a birthday celebration.Lone Star Taco Bar was one of the few places that was still open.It was empty enough that we were able to be seated right away, but there was still a handful of people that made it feel lively at this time of the night (around midnight).Inside had typical bar vibes. Got some tacos, grilled street corn, and French toast.I only tried the French toast, which was just okay, but I was craving French toast at the time and was excited to find a place that still served it at night.I wouldn't get it again if I weren't craving.I also got the oaxacan dead drink, which was stronger than most places and more drink than ice, which I appreciated.
Atmosphere is to be expected given the location. But upscale it is not.I’m posting in real time as I am still here. Two people were on duty I believe. The male bartender took a break without notice but was super non attentive prior. He literally served his friends TWICE before asking what I wanted!!! And yes the two girls where his friends - I realized that non too quickly. The girl who stepped in was fabulous though she had to play hostess, bartender and server all at once.Male comes back on - still not attentive. It’s wild to see a girl able to accomplish in 45 minutes while the guy domes back to do bare minimum.Maybe I’m confused? Just such a meh experience
Best place to eat real food.We mostly go there during lunch with coworkers and it never disappoints.Great food, everything is tasty, not super expensive (not cheap) and very warm and efficient service.Haven't tried any drinks though.Beef biria is top notch.
