Jamaican restaurant, Southern restaurant (US)
First time here.I ordered oxtails. The plate was $21.I got mac and cheese and collards.Wanted rice and peas and cabbage, but they don't sell cabbage?? Mac and cheese was okay. Collards were really salty to me.The oxtails were just fat and bones. No, thank you.Haven't found good Jamaican food here yet.For the price, I'd rather cook my own at home where I can control the salt and trim the fat.
I had the curry goat, rice and peas, cabbage, plantains along with the jerk chicken and same sides. The curry goat was amazing, full of flavor along with all of the sides. I was little bit disappointed by the jerk chicken though. It was very spicy and that was it.It didn’t have that authentic jerk flavor that I know and love. I’ll be back for sure, but just not for the jerk chicken.
They were really stingy with the food.I ordered sides of these foods and they put the least amount they could.Even charged me for my ice and filled it half way up.The food isnt fresh and not a memorable experience.I probably wont eat there again not this location.
