Kopper Kettle Family Restaurant

I visited this tiny restaurant early Saturday morning, 2/24, at 5:30 in the morning.
I’d made a run to the airport and stopped for a bite to eat before a meeting and a long drive out of state. I was greeted by a cheerful woman, Shayna.
She was welcoming, warm and engaged me with sweet conversation.
Then, I received such a ginormous portion of food that I couldn’t eat it all.
The pancakes and bacon were great! Throughout my meal, Shayna checked back to see if I needed anything.
The personal attention was not expected but very nice.😊 The outside of the building, and the surroundings, did not relay the 🎁 present that was hidden inside the building.
The experience was so nice that I tried multiple times to call the manager to relay my experience.
I was finally able to do so about 3 weeks later.
I do look forward to going back to the Kopper Kettle.

We moved here three years ago and started searching for local diners for breakfast.
Charlotte is filled with many chains, so finding locally owned and run places has not been easy.
This is a gem among gems.
The outside is an unassuming brown building.
As you walk in it is a perfect example of a 1960's diner including the old movies quietly playing above the counter with brown plastic stools.
The food is simple Southern cooking, perfectly done every time, perfect pancakes, grits, breakfast burritos, meats, eggs, omelets, amazing biscuits, everything made in-house and cooked to order.
They know most of their customers and spend time talking to everyone like they are family.
Someone is always coming by to offer to fill up your coffee.
This is our go-to Saturday morning.

I've been eating breakfast at the Kettle for several years and have never been disappointed.
A great place for a tasty early morning breakfast at an affordable price! Although I moved to Georgia several years ago I find time to grab breakfast here whenever I'm in Charlotte.
The quaint, blue collar atmosphere combined with the attentive friendly staff and customers are a great complement to the varied menu.
