The atmosphere of this place was just wauw! We were there last Tuesday, so made use of the $14 margaritas (get the mango one!) and some non standard tacos they only serve on Tuesdays. We started with the ceviche and got the Baja fish tacos and the pork belly ones. The fish ones were amazing!
What a magical place! Fire dancers, drinks with Smokey incense on top, tropical jungle vibes Seriously feels so dreamy The drinks are some of the most unique I’ve seen and awesome variations of spicy cocktails which are like my favorite Gabriella our waitress was super sweet! So the food is what got me a little, the ceviche was yummy but it’s just a tiny tostada and served on a plate with stones (which could be a huge liability because someone could think they’re edible when they’re not) and also if any ceviche fell off the tostada it was wasted since it fell in between the stones so only got like 2 small bites each for an almost $30 appetizer 😖 Then ok so I am quite particular with my meats (no bones, pork, lamb, heads, etc etc) and everything on the small menu was something like that So I ended up getting the pollo asada which tasted delicious as I didn’t encounter many bones so that was cool And tortillas were homemade and reminded me of my childhood so I loved that And they have pickled onions which are also my favorite The sauces were also quite interesting with the rib eye (which was melt in your mouth but quite small) Both are like mole type sauces which I didn’t like growing up but I really liked here! Not something I’d normally make but a very unique Smokey almost southwest taste If they would only add some chicken breast or carne asada type dishes to the menu then it’d be perfect I am happy I live nearby because I would love to come back for some more drinks!
I came here with very very high expectations, but I can’t say I was completely satisfied in the end.Really amazing place and atmosphere, seems to be in Mexico for real, it’s all outdoor (thank you LA weather!) I had kampachi crudo and tacos fritos as starters and they were really really good. As main pollo asado and then papas bravas. Pollo could have been much better, inadequate to the caliber of the restaurant, average dish I’d say. Special mention for the margarita, simply amazing, I’d have drunk many of them.Very good place but I’d come here again for drinks and snacks.Staff is very welcoming, kind and prepared.Anyway worth to try
