Johnny Rockets

Place is GROSS 🤢…50’s dinner themed with white walls that show left over food on the walls.
Floors were sticky and all the chrome was starting to rust and was nasty.
The jukebox at all the tables were out of order.
(Ours had gum and a bug in it) Burger was overcooked but decent flavor.
Chili cheese fries actually made me angry.
Cheese wasn’t melted ordered with jalapeño (4 jalapeño pieces/slices =$0.99) just gross. Service was terrible and there were only 7 people across 2 tables in the restaurant.
Took over 15 minutes to get drinks.
Burger and starter came out at same time.
Refills on soft drinks were consistent although I think the server only would ask when we had taken a bite of food. First time visiting the chain.
Won’t be back.
Could be a cool concept if done right.

80% of the time I've eaten here in the past, service has always been very slow.
My friends and I's memories of eating here have mostly been of 45 minute to hour long-type wait times (or more!). Today we came about a half hour before they closed with just a simple order of 2 burgers and fries, it was a non busy night so not something too big for them to handle.
Noticed the past issues have still arisen a bit again, whether it's poor communication or something, we noticed our food was made and just sitting there on the hot plate.
The cook didn't ring a bell or say anything after finishing our ticket until around say 8 minutes later.
The servers don't seem to check unless the cook says something.
So again not sure if that's a procedure issue or team communication thing that needs to be streamlined.
But fortunately after the cook mentioned our ticket was ready, it would only be a few more minutes till we were actually served.
The server finished some closing task she was doing first and then went to the hot plate to serve us our food.
Would've been nice to get the food fresh 10-15 minutes ago when it was ready, but relatively speaking compared to my past experiences, this is an improvement. Still, what gets me coming back whenever I'm willing to put up with the slow serve times is how good the food is.
Even at 10-15 minutes later, the burger was warm and very good.
Fries are hard to mess up. So after all these years, service is still slower than expected, but when you're willing to deal with that, you get really good burgers.
Whether it's worth the wait is up to you.
Also I'm not sure if other Johnny Rockets have this issue, just not sure why this one in particular always has slow service times, whether busy or not.

I went in for the first time yesterday! As soon as I sat down, had two workers whisper and point at my shoes..laughing.
They were some weird rubber shoes I put on last minute, but they completely made me feel unwelcome since they think acting that way is cute.
And ruined my first time there, and my mood as well.
Plus the food tasted like hot garbage as well, little to no effort there.
So ontop of the hot garbage food and the awful staff, Id give this place a solid 10/10 !! (picture of the two disrespectful staff members.
