I stopped on a Tuesday evening.I had read all the reviews, so my expectations were low. However, the bartender was friendly and attentive, the pizza was good, and the atmosphere was welcoming. It’s a nice laid back place to relax after work! I will definitely be back 😊

Thanks Lisa!!
Visited around 2p on a Saturday, the bar was full but the rest of the seating was open. There were plenty of TVs which had sports. Met two local regulars (Fitz and Juan) which made my first time visiting the location very nice, and both were very inviting The attached picture is the Italian Sub with Fries and an additional order of Onion Rings, with an Angry Orchard. The bar offerings seemed to be a standard affair, though since the location is local there may be other liquors that are also local
I recently visited Joe's Pub & Grille, also known as Average Joe's, in New Albany, Ohio. From the outside, it seemed like a typical sports bar and grill. However, my experience left much to be desired. Firstly, the ambiance was confusing, to say the least. The loud, obscure hip hop music playing made it difficult to grasp that I was in a sports bar (i.e., That Mexican OT, Doja Cat, etc.).It seemed like they were trying to cater to a different crowd, which didn't align with the local demographic.Maybe why they had six customers on a Thursday night. On top of that, the lack of craft beer options was disappointing for a place that bills itself as a pub.The beer selection was limited to domestic and generic options. I ordered the Southwestern Chicken Salad, which came smothered in sauce and had an excessive amount of sauce on the side. The portion was enormous, enough for two or three people, which was not what I expected from a salad. Overall, if Joe's Pub & Grille wants to succeed as a sports bar and grille in New Albany, they need to rethink their approach. It feels like they are trying to appeal to a different crowd with their music and lack of craft beer.It was a disappointing experience, and I hope they consider making some changes to better align with the local demographic.Perhaps Robert Irvine and the Restaurant Impossible team can help them find themselves.
