We were so excited to eat here.Every time we come to Park West, we say we need to eat at the Jalapeño Inferno, so we finally tried it.Everything started out nice, they were pretty busy and the server apologized for the wait, which was no problem.I worked in the restaurant industry for 25 years so I understand when somebody is slammed.I also understand when somebody is being ignored. My daughter and I sat outside the entire time without anybody checking on us, bringing us napkins, or giving us any attention at all.My daughter had sour cream on her face for most of the meal because we did not have any napkins. That’s just crazy. And it’s not like we were the only table outside, there were three others. As you could see by the pictures, the food was less than awesome. The soup was a waste of money.I mean, it tasted delicious, but for $12 it was a lousy value. We might give this place another chance, but I’m not sure at this point. Was not very impressed with my first experience.
Went on a Wednesday night. Not too crowded! The server was very informative on items on the menu. The bartender was funny! Drinks were great! The jalapeño style avocado dip was amazing! This is a must to start. We had the taco salad, which was great and chima, which was very tasty as well.Super great experience, we will definitely be back to try out more items in the menu.
We had lunch here with a friend. When we first arrived we waited almost ten minutes for a hostess to come and seat us. The restaurant was very quiet so maybe they were short staffed, not sure but the service was very slow. Our server was in training but it took forever for anyone to come to the table to take our order…maybe 15-20 minutes after being seated. We didn’t get much attention during our meal either. It seemed like they just didn’t have the staff to run the restaurant efficiently that day. Everything was very slow. The server was very nice though. She was doing her best at her new job. She needed more support from senior staff members, but then again, there weren’t many people there that we could see. The food did take quite a while to come out. The food is mid, at best. THE INFERNO SAUCE IS REALLY GOOD THOUGH. We had the lobster tacos, jalapeño burger, and my friend ordered lettuce wraps from the gluten free menu. The lobster tacos were not good. The meat was shredded and not chunked so I’m not even sure what it was. It was salty and fishy tasting. The rice and beans were dry and lacked flavor…it is mostly just salty. The burger patty tasted frozen and was nothing special. It didn’t taste terrible, but it was nothing to write home about. My friend said her lettuce wraps were just okay. The place has a nice look and it’s very clean.
