Jacob's On The Plaza, located within the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tallahassee, offers a casual yet trendy atmosphere perfect for any meal of the day. Known for its comfort food, the menu showcases American classics alongside an all-you-can-eat breakfast buffet. Guests appreciate the attentive service, particularly from David, the bartender, who garners positive remarks for his friendliness. While some diners have found the pricing on the higher side for the variety and taste, Jacob's remains a decent choice for a filling meal, especially when seeking a convenient spot within the hotel.

Stayed at the hotel and wanted to come for dinner but they closed early so we decided to try them for breakfast. It was a great variety but tasted standard..nothing was out of the ordinary or impressive. However it was good for what you got, an all you can eat continental buffet and basic hot breakfast bar.The server/manager was great, she was very attentive and polite. If we return it would be for her service cause the food didn't hold a candle to her.
I could rate them at least a 3 due to the steak being absolutely perfect. But the value compared to the taste outweighs it.There is no way we should have still been hungry after spending $150 on 2 entrees. It was severely overpriced, perhaps it was the 22% gratuity automatically added that our waitress did not deserve.1) We ordered from the bar -where she gave us our tea (poured out of a jug) to take to our seats 2) Someone else brought our food to us 3) We had to flag the bus-boy down to find her because that “jug tea” had long ran out….oh yeah, he got it for us.Moral of this story, it’s ok to go if you want an expensive snack.
This is not a restaurant. It does not need to be advertised as so...just because $20 is spent separately;(from your overpriced room) on powdered eggs and frozen link sausage.I've probably mispunctuated this post, due to the terrible mistake I just made.I honestly thought I was going to get good food at the Hilton.$20 to get Frozen at this "restaurant".$15 for cold items only....You know the stuff that's free, and in a cardboard box when you stay at a motel 6?? That's what I paid $20 for today.I don't like to go on Google and say negative things just for the sake of it.That's why this review has to be so honest.
