I had high hopes for Hooligan’s especially after hearing about how awesome their burgers are. However I found this sport bar pretty average.Don’t get me wrong, it wasn’t bad in any way at all but it wasn’t exceptionally memorable either. My husband and I sat at the bar and ordered a PBR ($3.00) and cranberry vodka ($6.00), respectively. For grub, we chose Nachos ($9.00/half order, $16.00 for full) with beer cheese (+$2.00) and chicken (+$3.00), and the highly acclaimed Hooligan’s Burger (locally-raised, grass-fed beef with grilled onions, lettuce, tomato on an Acme brioche bun with fries, $13.00) with American cheese. The price is just right for the great quality of the food. The nachos were fantastic – they were extremely generous with the toppings which were all fresh.I couldn’t really tell a difference in the cheese. The burger was cooked just pink enough (which is default, you have to tell them if you’d like it more well done). But it wasn’t much more than another pub burger.Again, I am not saying it wasn’t great. It just didn’t stand out in my long, long list of fantastic burgers the Treasure Valley offers.Fries were yummy! I would definitely return for the great priced drinks.

Hi Amanda! Thanks for coming in and for the thoughtful review.Sorry that the burger didn't blow your socks off but so glad you liked everything else.Might we suggest the wings and cheese curds for next visit. They are crowd pleasers for sure. Thanks again for your review and hope to see you again soon.
I have been here several times and appreciate the menu variety and consistency of the food.Prices are reasonable.I understand new ownership has roots in Wisconsin...go Vikings...sorry not a Packer fan.Having lived in the midwest my favorite cocktail is a Wisconsin..."old fashioned with brandy".I need to checkout the Friday night walleye fry soon.
This is a great neighborhood bar that has been around for a very long time.It has its regular customers. You will not find your typical bar menu food here, and the food is made fresh when ordered.I enjoy the bar for its shuffleboard and pool table.I drink whiskey and unfortunately, if you’re looking for a high-end whiskey drink, you will not find high-end whiskeys here. There are times that the music has been so loud that it was difficult to hear the people sitting across from me.Overall, it’s definitely an enjoyable restaurant/bar to frequent with friends.
