Henry's Majestic

Great brunch menu.
We had the Pittman Pork tacos and the Majestic breakfast.
Also ordered a blueberry waffle for a taste.
The pork in the tacos was seasoned wonderfully, and I was pleasantly surprised the dish was served with blue corn tortillas.
The Majestic is a basic breakfast plate (e.g.
eggs, one meat, breakfast potatoes and toast), but so flavorful.
The rustic toast (I believe it was sourdough bread) was fantastic, toasted with a slight burn to give it fantastic flavor.
Finally, we devoured the blueberry waffle we thought we wouldn't finish.
The compote was not too sweet, just a perfect combination with the ever-so-fluffy waffle.
Note: only reason I gave a 4 stars is the booth seat cushions were really stained.
Not a big deal and would have given it a 4.5 if available.
Our server Madison was fantastic!

We have been waiting for this restaurant to open for what seems like ages, and I am happy to report that it was worth the wait.
Right now it seems more like a locals spot, and I am hoping it stays that way.
It was our first time and with so many choices, we couldn't decide where to sit - inside, outside, in the bar area...
so many great choices! Our waiter was very patient, and I am so glad that we decided on the bar area, and discovered their Friday Margarita and Mezcal bar.
You get a shot of whichever is your choice, then you go and prepare your drink just how you like it.
We grazed our way through the appetizer menu and loved everything that we tried, especially the cauliflower with green goddess.
Be sure and ask for extra sauce - it was delicious! The drinks were all fantastic, and we were so happy that so many of the staff stopped by and welcomed us.
Sean at the bar was a wealth of knowledge, and I think this is going to be one of the best places to ring in the New Year in Dallas! With Dry January right around the corner, I was especially pleased to see the alcohol removed cocktails that they offered - it is so nice to see a restaurant acknowledge that everyone doesn't want alcohol in their drinks, and to put as much thought and effort into these options as they do to the typical cocktails. I'm looking forward to becoming a regular at the great new Oak Cliff destination!

I was walking my dog and noticed that this place finally opened! They’re super dog friendly with a gigantic patio.
I went on a Saturday night around 7:30 pm so they had live music playing which was really enjoyable.
I wasn’t sure what to expect since they just opened but to my surprise everything was super well done and organized.
The hostess was super nice and friendly and the waiter was awesome! A bunch of the staff also came up to say hi and they were all really kind. I got the calamari as an appetizer which was one of the best fried calamari I’ve ever had.
Not only did it taste great, but it was also presented really well on a wooden board.
I also got the High Rise sandwich which was equally as delicious.
It’s a super tall sandwich though so it was a bit hard to eat, but I think that’s the whole point.
Lastly I got the seasonal fruit for my dog which he really enjoyed.
It was a mix of strawberries watermelon blueberries and raspberries.
I heard that in the future they’ll have treats for dogs to order which will he great, but in the meantime I think the fruit is a super fun and healthy thing to get your pup if you bring them along. I also got two drinks, but can’t quite remember the name of them.
They were both very good and strong and also priced reasonably well.
While most places nowadays are charging around 20 dollars per drink, here it was a range between 8-12 which I think is perfect and super reasonable. Overall I give them a 10/10!!!
