Great local cafe that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The decor is a plethora of old movie posters, unique historical photos, beach, and surf props.Great for small groups or family's. The service was fast, the food is delicious, and nothing tasted frozen or precooked.Located right on PCH, parking is available, but limited.Carpooling or taxi services are recommended on weekends and during the summer months.It is a very popular restaurant, so waiting can occur.I was there on a Friday morning around 11am, and there was plenty of seating.There is an atm inside if you need cash for the day, but the restaurant takes all major payment methods.I'm not sure if they accept Google or Apple pay.
The food was not great.The cheese sandwich was American cheese that wasn’t fully melted.Most of us got sandwiches and the were just okay.The service was not good at all.We saw a sign out front that said free kids meal with the purchase of a meal during certain days and times.We were there during those days and times.It turns out it only applies to certain kids meals.The servers never told us this and they acknowledged the sign out front was misleading.The atmosphere was fun but the floor sagged in where I sat.Every time someone walked by my chair went up and down.We had multiple recommendations to eat at the Harbor House Cafe.We were disappointed.
Harbor House is a standard stop for locals.It’s a diner vibe with good breakfast and lunch items.Typical weak diner coffee, service is slow/fast depending on the visit. Your satisfaction will depend on your expectations.If you are looking for a new take on food - go elsewhere.If you like a non-chain diner, you’ll love it. We got the breakfast sandwich and breakfast burrito with hash browns.We liked them! If you’re at Sunset Beach and they don’t have a wait- give ‘em a try.
