I absolutely love this place! I am originally from the south so my mom and I would go looking around to find food that would remind us of home and this was easily one of our favorites.
It was the last place I got to go with her before she passed away and now it’s my tradition to visit here every Mother’s Day and I’m always so well taken care of. I have to be honest and say I always get the fried catfish but there’s a reason why… it’s incredible.
Perfectly fried with just the right amount of batter and not greasy, just wonderfully crispy. The fried okra is the best side to pair with it.
The hush puppies, while smaller than I’m used to provides a nice crunch and packed with spices. I have to be careful with cornbread that comes before the meal because I would simply just order that and get full! On this occasion specifically I asked to surprise me with a sauce to dip and they knocked it out of the park with this tangy comeback style sauce.
And just look at that refill they gave me of my soda, I don’t know how he even carried that back haha Overall, I love this place and there’s simply nowhere else that I’d rather go on my yearly visit.
Even sneak in a couple times a year extra just because it is that good.

First time to Felix’s and we weren’t disappointed! It was my first time having fried green tomatoes and they were delicious! The cornbread muffins were so good and warm and the bbq chicken was very juicy and tasty.
The Mac and cheese was to die for! My friend had the spareribs and collard greens and she said that it was delicious.
Their French fries are also very good and crunchy. Our server was very nice and accommodating and I wish I had gotten her name but I completely forgot. The sweet potato pie was excellent, the best I think I’ve ever had! 😋 Atmosphere was pretty quiet when we got there Saturday at 5:30, just a couple of people but then it started to fill up so it looks like it’s a popular place to go to. We will be returning to this place for sure.

Staff was super friendly! Love the atmosphere and the food was delicious.
However, the greens do have a lil spicy kick.
I love it though!
