Went in to this location because the establishment nearby we were going to go to was closed. As soon as we came in to the end at the bar area you saw a gentleman with a dog sitting on the bar.In front, the first table from the back, there were employees in aprons playing cards super loud and competitive with money. It would get loud when they someone was losing. And the language being used was horrendous.Thankfully, the place was not full and there were no children present. When I sat down I saw to the front on the counter the dogs collar and baggies. Our waitress who took our order and served our food in between preparing and bagging orders of pickup orders would spend her time touching and loving on the dog.Never once washing her hands and neither did the gentleman who was handling and preparing the orders on the grill behind the front counter. We have two dogs at home and are pet lovers but I feel in an establishment as this dogs shouldn’t be present or at least contain them to a certain area away from the food if possible.Plus, employees should be washing their hands after petting pets.At one point the dog was off the bar and was walking around the restaurant where all were eating. To our surprise, it wasn’t just one dog but two! Food was ok but the lettuce on my dish was a little on the bad side to which they tried to hide underneath the sauce of my dish.I def wouldn’t make the trip to this place again or refer to my family or acquaintances to dine here.Especially those allergic to pet hair.
Food used to be better . Seems like the place is going downhill . My mom got the tacos de lengua and chorizo to go. When we got home the lengua was basically toasted and very hard to chew and the chorizo was dripping in oil. Plus they add an extra .50c per taco if you want a regular size tortilla and not the mini ones they use. $22 for 4 tacos and a soda . Maybe we’ll try it again at some point for now , we’ll give it a break .
Went for an early dinner.Only ones dining in at the restaurant at that hour.Decor is very colorful and typically Mexican — just lovely.Place was clean (didn’t use restroom though) hand sanitizer at each table.Waitress was kind and just attentive enough (which I greatly appreciate as I lean European when it comes to enjoying my dinner unbothered). Now the food… Birria tacos, chilé rellenos taco style (in tortilla topped with seasoned rice, poblano pepper, and seasoned steak fries) and chicken enchiladas. One of our party was not a Mexican food fan at all — LOVED the birria tacos and even the enchiladas as well as the leche fresa banana. The birria tacos were the star of the meal. The sopa was sssoooo tasty and flavorful! Truly impressed. Now for dessert the hit was tres leches cake — we had original and strawberry, can not decide which was the favorite! Inspired me to find a recipe and try to make it at home.Sssoooo yummy!!!! Would definitely go back for more. Plus the amount of food you get for the price cannot be beat! Enough leftovers for a full lunch the next day.Go.You will not be disappointed!!!
