El Pollo Loco on E Alton Gloor Blvd is a casual and cozy spot that brings Mexican flavors to the fast-food scene in Brownsville. Known for its delicious grilled chicken offerings and budget-friendly prices, this family-friendly restaurant is perfect for a quick lunch or dinner. While many rave about the quality and freshness of the food, some have mentioned inconsistencies with orders and quality control. Nevertheless, with options for quick bites, casual dining, and takeout, it remains a popular choice among locals.

This review goes for both locations in Brownsville TX.Terrible service ! First time my order was wrong I didn’t check it outside the store so I didn’t get that one fixed.Decided to try again but this time I checked it before leaving and it was wrong yet again. When we told the employees they were visibly bothered to have to fix it.I decided to submit a complaint online. The location manager reached out and offered a free meal.I was not interested in going back to that location (alton gloor).I decided to try the Boca Chica location only to find they were an even hotter mess! This time I ordered on the app for curbside pick up.Ordered 2 items and both were wrong. When we went to the drive thru to let them know the employee was very annoyed as if it was my fault they made the order wrong. Finally got the food after waiting another 15 minutes only to find that they only removed the onions from the Birria quesadilla ordered and didn’t even attempt to fix the chicken taco they did wrong. All in all I would definitely not recommend.Avoid Pollo Loco !
I ordered the guacamole chicken burrito combo, and it was very good.It was very filling and full of flavor.I would order it again by itself as the chips came with combo they were not fresh.

We are grateful that you took the time out to leave us a review.Your feedback helps us to improve service for everyone.Hope to see you again soon, Marco!
Shredded beef quesadilla was more spicy than Pablono chicken quesadilla! Wet and mushy. Overpriced! Paid $45 for 3 meals. Only 2 bags of overcooked chips with 3 meals! Two very tiny, sour creams pictured here, $3 extra. The rice was an extra $7 very small and some hard pieces! We threw it away. Ate the poorly made quesadillas out of hunger though.Almost $50 for this!? I could’ve had 2 plates of plentiful tuetano with ribeye for same price! These fast foods need to stop sending out food that they wouldn’t serve to their own families or lower prices.Eating out is not the same anymore.😔
