At Detroit Soul, I had my first taste of catfish and it did not disappoint! The chicken was fall-off-the-bone tender, paired with savory yams and authentic cornbread. The strawberry shortcake was the perfect sweet finish. 🍰

The atmosphere is casual yet trendy, and the staff, especially the owner and my server Bri, treated me like family. With quick service and generous portions, it’s a great spot for lunch or dinner. Just a heads-up: the meatloaf could use a bit more flavor, but the sides more than make up for it! I'll definitely be back to satisfy my soul food cravings! 🙌🏽
