Cracker Barrel Old Country Store

I almost never eat at Cracker Barrel but it’s always been a family tradition that we go on Christmas Eve.
We did just that and went to this location. Arriving at around 8:30 AM, they weren’t busy and we immediately got a table.
Our waitress was SUPER friendly.
It did take a few minutes to get our drinks but wasn’t too big of a deal.
We got biscuits as an appetizer, they were good! I got the home style chicken & French toast as my entree.
Overall, it was decent.
The French toast was good but the chicken could have been seasoned a little better. Overall, not a bad experience.
I’ll probably come back.

12/15/23- stopped by after arriving from Michigan on my way home.
Jade was our server.
She was quick to tend us even though it was busy. We placed our order and didn't wait long as the food was out fast.
The pancakes were fluffy and hot.
I like to add lots of butter.
Jade made sure I had it along with extra syrup.
The eggs were good and bacon was just the way I like.
Not over cooked. They had two cashiers on the way out and long line.
That's when the Betty the manager hopped on a register.
I hope it was Betty. It was nice how they all worked as a team.
This may be my morning stop.

When I ate at this location on a previous trip a few years ago, everything was great, which is why I came back today.
I wasn't hopeful for a good experience this time because right off the bat, the hostess greeted us as though we were interrupting her evening. But thankfully, she seated us in Dymond's section.
Dymond's friendly and cheerful attitude are what earned CB its 5 stars for service tonight. I would've given them 5 for the food too if my delicious dinner (the country fried pork chops with turnip greens, hashbrown casserole and corn muffins) had been hot instead of barely warm.
Really good flavors, especially the pork chops.
I was disappointed at first that they topped the chops with a brown sauce instead of the pictured thick country gravy, but it worked. I rounded out my meal with an ooey good helping of their fudgy chocolate Coca-Cola cake and a glass of their limited-time cocktail called the Sweet Cherry Spritzer.
It's yummy and very bubbly thanks to the moscato wine!!)
