Delicious food, Great Service & Great prices! I've been coming to this restaurant since I was a teenager.
Now, I come with a family of my own.
I definitely recommend the Lemon Pepper Chicken Gizzards with Gravy, Fried Chicken, Jalapeño Poppers & Burgers! Plus they sell Cajun Chef Hot Sauce (since we can't find it at our local grocery stores anymore.) Overall great place.

A longtime south of downtown San Antonio staple, Che’s is a longtime favorite for those looking for fried chicken, fish or burgers, not the best I’ve tasted but by no means the worst.
A great place to grab a quick lunchtime meal at a great price.
Pictured is a combination that they accommodated my request of a chicken breast and a one piece of fish combo with drink (< $9).
All orders come with a jalapeño.
Fries are of the crinkle cut type, my favorite, cooked to a light crisp.
All orders are take out no dining room except for a table or two underneath a covered area directly in front of the order counter.

This is a gem in the Southside of San Antonio was told about it by a friend, fried chicken made fresh , fish is outstanding ( square like Fred's fish fry) taste as good or better prices are very reasonable will keep going back , have to try the gizzards, hamburger etc.
