We visited this place as a recommendation from a friend.
I had no idea it even existed until he mentioned it.
It's in a cute hallmark type location which is perfect for the atmosphere.
The place isn't that big but they do have outdoor seating which would be fine in the cooler months. The food was better than most local places but it did seem that the food was old and reheated.
My wife had the bourbon meatloaf with mac and mash and I had the salmon with fries.
Our waitress was always checking on us which is always a plus.
Our only downside is my wife is allergic to shellfish and although we didn't order any, we think that something she ate came in contact with a shellfish. We will definitely go back and get something else to give this place a round 2

This is a great spot for a quick drink, & a casual bite to eat.
It is very nice to have a meal that was not prepared in a convection oven.
We've had both takeout & we've eaten in.
Both times the food was spot on, & the drinks are not watery.
This does not feel like Columbus, for a brief moment I though I was in the suburbs of another city.
We'll be back!

My husband and I tried Charred Oak for the first time and we will definitely be back.
My husband had shrimp and grits and I had chicken Alfredo.
We shared an order of the steak wraps, which were delicious, sorry we ate them before we took a pic.
Our server Ashley was very helpful and made some awesome suggestions.
She really made the whole experience worth repeating.
