We always enjoy our time at Casa Manana West. The staff is always courteous & helpful, the food is sooo good& that back patio just seals the deal. We just love their arsada street tacos & Mexican potatoes (didn’t realize what we’d been missing?!) & today tried the Devil style shrimp over poblano rice - if I say it had a kick, there was a KICK.In a good way! While there seems to be a little confusion since it sits so close to Milano’s Italian next door (ALSO a hit!!!), go check them out - you’ll likey.
I travel around the country visiting various restaurants.Often we visit Mexican restaurants as I am a sucker for tortillas and all the goodness wrapped in them… This restaurant has been the most disappointing, unfortunately. We will start with the staff. The greeting by the hostess was very friendly, however the restaurant was empty. The hostess was hard to understand and moved very quickly, we hadn’t even had menus in our hands or sat down and she was asking us what we wanted to drink I said a house margarita, she became very muffled and hard to understand after that because I thought she was asking about the size of margarita and if I wanted salt, but she moved so fast that she was already on to Queso and was asking if we wanted Small, medium, or large.I thought she meant margarita size so I said large… no she was talking about Queso… so we got a large Queso, I wasn’t mad but I would have gotten a small. The Queso was horrible tasted burnt like it had been sitting in the melter all day and possibly overnight. Not good Queso. The margaritas were so watered down that our waiter didn’t charge us for one round. The wait staff was overbearing they were clearing plates and drinks before things were even finished.I could hardly talk with my husband before either the bus man or waiter were coming back either asking to clear plates or if we needed more chips.I felt like they were trying to be a fancy restaurant but failing on a lot of fronts. The food was okay.Chips and Queso were both over cooked. My al pastor fajita plate was small and had basic flavor profile, nothing special. The meat was unevenly cut up so I had some massive pieces of meat and then other bites were nothing but little meat strings. Recommendations: Be more clear in what you are offering and work on making communication clear. Don’t over cook your food, it turns out burnt or bland Being attentive is great but you don’t need to over do it.
Great Atmosphere, absolutely loved it.If You Enjoy A nice meal on a patio with great scenery, Then This Is The place for you 👌🏾 5 Stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
