California Fish Grill

We had the branzino sea bass with rosemary zucchini and seasoned white rice, mahi with tomatoes and feta and seasoned white rice, split a skewer of shrimp and hibiscus raspberry iced tea.
All very delicious.
Nice staff working there.
Clean restaurant and nice patio.
It was good to have wonderful grilled fish in a fast casual restaurant.
Felt like we were in Cali on vacation.
Will definitely come back! Would like one to open in the Arrowhead Mall area.

Bad service.
Apparently the younger male taking my order forgot to put it in.
After waiting about 27 minutes, I inquired about the order to a female who appeared to be the manager.
She berated the younger male who took the order in front of me and other customers and struck an attitude with me for no reason.
She then said she could not immediately put in the late order, but could do so in a few minutes.
She made no apologize and was not nice.
Mistakes happen.
This rating is not because of the mistake but the poor and unprofessional way it was handled my the manager.
When the food finally arrived about 36 minutes after being ordered, it was prepared the wrong way but I was not about to wait any longer.
The mahi mahi was good, but nothing great especially for the price.
The portion was a little light with 3 very thin pieces of fish.
The sweet potato fries were great and the zucchini was tasty and not overcooked.
The male who took my order came over to the table and apologized and handled the matter like a professional.
His gesture was appreciated.
I would not got back to this place because of the female manager.
Plus, Chula and Coconuts are much better options that are appreciative of their customers.

California Fish Grill was such an unexpected treat after a day of battling it out at Last Chance! I started off just cooling down with an icy-cold glass of chard while waiting for a friend on their nice little patio.
The good smell made me hungry and we ended up ordering.
I had the giant shrimp with garlic butter sauce with rice and zucchini and it was SO dreamy! That, the absolutely incredible service, and the yummy dynamite sauce are on the long list of reasons I'll be back here! 😍 I do recommend a more trendy playlist for better vibes but the weird Christmas music was nothing to scoff at!
