Calhoun's

I love Calhoun's but never have I been so disappointed!! I ordered my favorite Rocky Top Potato Skins to eat and take home.
I open them to see a burnt mess.
The potato skins, cheese, BBQ, all burnt.
They appear to have been cooked on the paper and the paper put in the to go box.
The cheese was so hard and burnt and they were stuck to the paper.
I couldn't pry the part of the potato skin away.
Hard cheese, burnt food, stuck to the paper...
So disappointed.
I don't know that Calhoun's has ever cooked food this bad.
It is horrible.

This is usually our go to place, but today the service in the bar was AWFUL.
I don’t know if I upset her when I asked if I could set at a table that had two used glasses and needed to be wiped down, or what, but we had to get her attention numerous times when we wanted drink refills even though she walked past us several times.
Meanwhile she was engaging with other customers.
Not us.
And the music was loud and insulting.
I hope Calhoun’s on Kingston Pike sees this review because the waitress/bartender needs coaching.
Or another job.

I am rating this 2 stars for positive past experiences...
The most recent time I came to this location I had a mole in the service staff as my waiter.
I came with my good friend to grab a little lunch.
This was around 4 pm.
My friend was particularly hungry.
When the waiter directed us to our booth there was an issue.
My dear Emily could just not quite fit in the booth.
For heaven's sake, she is not even one of my biggest friends.
When the waiter saw us struggling to fit her into the booth he just walked on away. This was upsetting to me because there was an issue.
I tracked down the waiter and asked to be relocated and he looked right at my face and laughed.
Now how could you look into a sweet girl like me in the eyes and laugh at a moment so dire? Simply disrespectful and upsetting.
My friend broke down into hysterics....
She sobbed.
I mean she sobbed.
She is just getting over a very toxic relationship where she was constantly shamed for her bigger size.
So very sad.
But the waiter did nothing.
So we left and went to the Tupelo Honey down the road where we received wonderful service.
