September 27, 2024I recently checked out Bush's Chicken, and while it was a bit of a trek, I was hopeful! The atmosphere is casual and cozy, featuring classic booths along the walls. I tried the 2-piece fried chicken dinner with mac and cheese and country coleslaw.
The mac and cheese was a letdown - doughy and bland - but the coleslaw had a nice creamy sweetness. Unfortunately, the chicken lacked flavor; it felt overcooked rather than crispy. However, the rolls were airy and delightful!
Overall, it’s decent for a quick bite, but I believe other places like Popeye’s do it better... 🍗
