Soul food restaurant
Today I ordered 2 plates @ 17.50 each and 2 fruit teas.A chitterling plate with macaroni and corn and another chitterling plate with green beans and cabbage.Everything was HORRIBLE especially the chitterlings. They are tasteless as if they were only seasoned with vinegar only and no other seasonings.Seasoning it myself nor hot sauce still did not help as the vinegar taste was so strong and over-powering.The sweet corn was hard and the macaroni was bland but still ok to pick at.The other plate got thrown in the trash. The cornbread was dry and also tasteless.I was very disappointed since you would expect good soul food here, especially with the prices I paid.Everything was a waste of money except for the fruit teas I purchased. The tea was actually good.I don’t think I would return to even give this place another try after wasting $43 for food that doesn’t taste edible.
I gave this place two stars bc the guy inside was very nice ..the food on the other hand don’t even waste ur money the Mac and cheese was horrible prob the worst Mac I’ve ever had im not sure I’d they made it in the morning let it sit for the day the noodles were super mushy and no flavor hardly no cheese either. The cabbage was mushy too just mush not a fan of it.The pig feet weren’t bad but overall it’s def a no go for me especially for the price.I would not recommend at all
Very nice people and the food was great.I plan to go back there next time I’m in the area. The food reminded me of my granny’s home cooking when I was a child. The restaurant and soul food set a nostalgic vibe with 90’s R&B music playing in the background. They also had koolaid. This is one of my new favorite places. If I lived or worked close by I would probably be there every day.
