Big Lou's Pizza

I’ve been wanting to try this place for several years.
I first heard about it from friends and family about how big the pizzas were so I had to come find out myself. When you pull up to the parking lot, the front door looks like it’s closed.
You have to drive around to the back where the entrance is and find parking. Upon arrival, there’s a line that you are standing in, with the menu on the wall and a host to sit your party down.
Please note it is a dark atmosphere so you can’t wear sunglasses while in the establishment. The wait time to sit down was probably 5 to 10 minutes and to me that’s pretty quick. We ordered the 42 inch pizza for a party of seven and we had two to go boxes filled with pizza so next time we’ll probably order the 37 inch pizza.
🍕 Our order consisted of a garden 🪴 salad with ranch dressing.
The plates they give you for the salad are smaller than your hand.
They may have been small on those plates for salad, but the plates for the pizza slice were probably 20 inches long for their big pizza slices. The chicken Alfredo was good and the pizza we ordered had pepperoni with extra cheese and the supreme, so you can order half-and-half but you can’t mix with specialty pizzas.
And last but not least the wings! The restrooms were semi clean, and we had to ask for a to go box three times.
But other than that, I would definitely return again. FYI if you’re going to go to this place, go on an empty stomach and a hunger for delicious pizza.

Our waiter name (I am kicking myself bc I am bad with names ) was a great guy who helped us with pizza choice and setup.
His personality made the night even better.

It isn’t often that I try food in San Antonio that I will literally dream about later but this place definitely fits my past time 😂🫶🙌 We didnt realize how big a 20” pizza would be, it seems every pizza place has a different method of measurement 🤪😂 But this pizza we almost ate with just the two of us could definitely feed up to 5 people. Also tried the boneless wings - their wings were mid to be honest.
The sauces don’t hit.
:( Not a big deal to me though because we didn’t come for the wings, we came for the “legendary pizza”.
😂🫶 Definitely enjoyed the carb load, and will be back again in the future for sure.
