Finally authentic south Indian food that is basically homemade and fresh made by the owner! The location is may be not ideal - it is upstairs inside Mercado de San Enrique but the dining room is very nicely set up. I hope they are successful and can move to a more prominent location with a view one day. Had idli, vada, masala dosa, onion utthapam and salty lassi! All of it was very good. If you are vegan you may want to ask them to avoid ghee in the dosa (there is a tiny amount she adds). The salty lassi is amazing!
I tried as many dishes as I could from the menu in one shot.Out of all, Idli is the best.It got the perfect fermented taste. You can eat it without sambar / chutney.Dosai was a bit oily, but this is my perspective.Vadai with coconut chutney was so good, it reminded me of the wedding morning feast in Tamil Nadu. You should try the parotta, it's unreasonably soft. Finally, water is always free in the Tamil Nadu restaurants, unlike European restaurants.I don't like the notion of paying for water. But here, though it's in Europe, water comes under no charge.
Amazing Authentic South Indian food in Madrid especially far away from india.Owner and staff were excellent. Dhosa Idly uttapam and chicken 65 were outstanding.Mango Lassi & Ladoo were special treat.Good veg & non- veg choices. It was great to find friendly Desi Indian food while on family vacation in spain. Note: closed on Sunday & Monday. Restaurant is on 2nd floor.
