Two people, me and my wife, ate one orata (sea bream) of 900 grams as we were told, three glasses of white wine, two misto salads, two sweets and two coffees, they charged us 130 euros. In a word, they robbed us. A meal that somewhere else would cost a maximum of 80-85 euros. For this, first ask for a meal list...
Excellent service, delicious and fresh food. This quality is hard to find in Rome! It 8s definitely worth the trip and the adventure to leave the crowded touristy places to enjoy this place!
Interesting restaurant-plus-fishmonger's in a good neighbourhood, somewhat off-centre.The service is friendly and efficient; I sat for an aperitif at the bar, in line with the idea of the fishmonger-turned-restaurateur; diners are equipped with adequate glassware, crockery and cloth napkins.I started with raw antipasti which were excellent, in particular the red prawns from Mazara del Vallo.I followed with a mixed fried seafood (prawns & calamari) that was generally good but definitely not up to the standard of the antipasti (I usually skip fried food in restaurants to avoid seed oils, and I was proven right once more). The wine list is more than adequate, if a tad pricey. The prices are in general justified and in line with other businesses that serve fresh seafood.Despite the fried dish, which wasn't something to tell home about, I am giving a five-star rating as the experience was overall pleasant.
