African Village offers a taste of West Africa nestled within the Texas Thrift Store, making it a unique spot for locals and tourists alike. With a casual atmosphere, you can enjoy comfort food favorites such as spicy Jollof rice and hearty Egusi, paired with a selection of alcoholic beverages. At around $2 on the price scale, it's accessible for most budgets. While patrons appreciate the fast service and onsite bar, feedback suggests improvements are needed in service quality and food freshness. Reservations are accepted, and the venue is family-friendly, making it a solid choice for both lunch and dinner gatherings.

September 16, 2024I recently visited African Village and overall, it was a colorful experience! 🎉
The atmosphere is casual and welcoming, perfect for a leisurely meal. I particularly enjoyed the Jollof rice - rich and flavorful, paired well with the spicy suya! The portion sizes were generous, making it ideal for sharing. While the service was a bit slow, the staff were friendly once seated.
Parking was easy and accessible, which is a plus, especially for families. I recommend trying the Egusi soup alongside the chapati for a comforting meal. Definitely a taste of West Africa right here in Irving! 🌍✨
