World’s smallest wings. We came in on a Sunday at 12.
There were about ten cars in the parking lot so definitely not busy.
We had a party of 11 and didn’t mind waiting, if necessary - as we were interested in trying the “soul food” but were met first with a confused look about how many we had when asked then an attitude from a lady coming out of the back asking if we called ahead to make a reservation.
There was literally a table to fit us in the back but attitude about not calling first. We ordered turnip greens that were mostly stems and tasted like pure vinegar and salt.
Chicken and dumplings that somehow also tasted like vinegar and salt, or some weird tangy flavor. The wings were barely the length of my index finger and mind you I have small fingers.
It literally looked like someone took a bite off of each wing and they re-battered and fried them - I know that’s not the case but that’s what they looked like.
The macaroni was way too salty.
Honestly the best part of our meal was plain French fries and canned green beans because they weren’t full of salt.
This is not soul food, this is salt food and was extremely unpleasant.
Not to mention the whole vibe after the initial attitude we got was off - we felt very unwelcome.
Will not be returning.

Good food.
Good staff.
Zia was friendly and attentive.
She and several others were euute attentive to the tables.
Sweet Thai Chili wing sauce had great flavor.
Onion rings were a tad greasy and slightly overcooked, but good.
Was slightly suprised that the bone-in wings were breaded.
Lots of great soul food type options.
Very satisfied with our choice for road trip looks-kimd-of-like-a-dive stop for lunch while traveling.

It was alright, the food was pretty good but the service was very poor.
My waitress never checked on me.
And I had to get up and asked the bus boy for my check and it still took her FOREVER to bring it to me.
She never refilled my drink or asked if I needed anything.
And it was a slooooow day.
No one was even dining in at the time.
SMH...
I'll go back, but I'm definitely taking it to go instead of dining in.
