49th State Brewing in Anchorage is a gem! 🍻 The rooftop seating with a view of the mountains is a must-try. I loved their Reindeer Meatloaf - comfort food at its finest. The beer selection is fantastic; I recommend the Denali Gold. Friendly staff, cozy fireplace, and live music create a vibrant, welcoming atmosphere. Perfect for dinner with friends or a solo lunch. 🌟 Can't wait to go back!
Ambiance: Great place to chill and have a bite. The bar was awesome and the bartender was very friendly.Great patio on second floor if you want to enjoy views while you eat Service: Great.Immediate seating from the hostess when the other hostess was busy.Service at the bar was great and attentive. Food: Alright let’s get into this! Drinks in general were good.Love the local brewery and even the soda was by the company. We are visiting so we went with whatever stuck out in the big pictures of the menu which were the Crabby Grilled Cheese and the World Famous Yak Burger Crabby Grilled Cheese was delicious! I’m not a crab lover but I do love grilled cheese and this was a great spin and combination. It comes with chowder for dipping instead of the standard tomato soup which I found perfect.Fries were good but nothing special Yak Burger - this thing was huge! And although it was generally good, we found it to be just a little too “wet” meaning the juices overwhelmed the bun which made it soggy. That alone would make us personally not order it again. Overall, this was a really cool and fun bar with some good food and drinks.
Great place, loved the atmosphere, sat on the rooftop with heaters, they were even handing out blankets.Beer was delicious, got a flight to get some variety, so many options to choose from. Also had a yak burger with tots, a lot of flavor. It wasn’t super busy on the rooftop, the service was pretty good however they didn’t originally offer the rooftop and was told it would be a 45 min wait, they also forgot my silverware and napkin.I recommend this place for the beer and the atmosphere but a bit touristy
Loved the vibe of the restaurant. Service was on the slow side after we received our appetizer. We ran out of water.I felt like I had to keep looking for our waitress for items like ketchup or a drink. I ordered the yak burger; the flavor was similar to a burger with a slight sweet flavor, it was worth trying. The tater tots were perfect, great crunch. My husband ordered the king salmon, we were expecting super fresh or special being in Alaska and it was the same as if we bought it in Chicago.
